The valley lies in the western part of Veľká Fatra and represents one of the gems of Slovak nature. Every visitor will appreciate that in a relatively small area there are many rare natural formations and beautiful corners. The caves and the rich flora are well known. There are mainly deer, but also wild boar, chamois, bears and birds of prey, including the golden eagle. A crystal clear stream flows through the entire valley. The valley is conveniently accessible for every visitor.
The gateway to the valley is the village of Blatnica, located 15 km south of the town of Martin and 13 km north of the spa town of Turčianske Teplice. Gaderská Valley offers us a long asphalted road, suitable for in-line skating or cycling. Various hiking trails to the popular peaks of Veľká Fatra also start from Gaderská Valley – Ostrá, Tlstá, Mažarná Cave, and Blatnický Castle.
